A shower filter changes what touches your hair every morning. It does not change the water that comes out of the wall. SEDA reduces chlorine before it reaches your scalp. It does not remove dissolved calcium and magnesium — that requires softening at the building level, which is a different system.

What does the SEDA filter actually remove?
The cartridge reduces free chlorine and captures sediment and organic compounds. It does not remove dissolved calcium and magnesium — the minerals that cause limescale require softening, not filtration. SEDA changes what touches your hair every morning, not the water that comes out of the wall.
How long does a cartridge last?
Three months of daily use for a single household shower. The cartridge holds fifteen filtration strata that degrade gradually. After three months the reactive layers lose efficiency, and the cartridge should be replaced.
Will I notice a difference?
Most people notice a softer feel on hair and skin from the first wash. The water is the same water; what changes is what was floating in it. The difference is most evident in cities with chlorinated supply.
Does it fit my shower?
The SEDA filter installs between the wall outlet and your shower hose, using the standard European G1/2" thread. It is compatible with all standard European shower fixtures. Installation takes under two minutes and requires no tools.
Does it soften hard water?
No. A shower filter cannot remove dissolved calcium and magnesium. That requires ion exchange, installed at the building level — a different system. SEDA reduces the chemical interference — chlorine — that acts on top of mineral water.
Shipping, returns, replacements
Shipping across the EU is free, dispatched from Germany and delivered in two to five business days. Unopened, uninstalled filters can be returned within 14 days of delivery; return postage is covered by the buyer unless the item arrived faulty. Each cartridge lasts three months; replacements will be available directly from SEDA.
